In addition to the walkthrough I mentioned, I'm adding the unicorn tendon from the Necropolis and noting that the "Killer" spell isn't needed – the bonuses from combat spirit and luck are strong enough. I ran 10 battles just to be sure, and all 10 ended in victory without any problems.
