Favorites, to battle! - 8 - The Battle of Favorites! - 8

The deployment turned out decently: two external dwellings of angels, two Griffin Conservatories, several Dragon Fly Hives. Though the GO was quite far, and in the GO I had to fight 5-9 fairies. This made engaging without archers pointless. On turn 117, even with a full trade from three markets, I couldn't afford one angel from the external dwelling. Because I had to trade resources, at the start of the second month I had to go for the cyclops dwelling, then I took a Dragon Utopia with an Owl's Griffin Conservatory, but with virtually no stats. Using the Griffin Conservatory and already with archers, a hero from the prison picked up another Dragon Utopia deep in the spawn, which gave a Shield +4 all.
On turn 126, I broke through the fairies on auto-combat, losing gargoyles from the towns. On the exit there were Wings for a Horde of Mighty Gorgons, but I didn't dare fight them without oil. However, I did take the KV behind regular gorgons, then +2 Speed, a Dragon Utopia with a Chalice, and the Dragon remains in the center without mana. Afterwards, I took the central town, also captured the capital on turn 131, and decided to double my mana in the central dungeon, where I ended up with 380 mana. I had a chain dealing 800 damage, summoning 76 air elementals per cast, so I was ready for battle — and then a red orb appeared :(
