Having found themselves wanted by the authorities, Kir decided that he and Damien should separate and communicate only through the rings. They found less conspicuous clothing with hoods to resemble beggars. Damien suggested that the boy try to get a job at the Temple of Arcadia as a cleaner or something else, or simply find a place to sleep within the temple walls. He himself was considering several options. He thought about contacting the criminal elements of the city, given his past and not entirely legal activities, or trying to find the owner of the Enigma, who might be able to help him. Kir also thought about ways to leave the city, using caravans, expeditions, and other travelers, but so far nothing suitable had come up. Using the scroll was also not an option, given its effect. He decided to give it to Damien for now, so that in case of danger, he could save himself. As for a personal refuge, Damien was staying at the Temple of Sha for these purposes.
Having heard about the new temple and the fulfillment of wishes, Kir decided to visit it. He didn't really believe in these rumors, but after hearing about it, hope was rekindled within him, and he decided to at least find out about this place.
