NCF – Extended list of Neutral creatures.

They used to be ordinary Paladins, but when one of their commanders was poisoned, they decided to learn everything about poison and cure their commander. They never managed to cure him, but they founded the Poison Clan, which includes Poison Knights, Poison Lords, and Poison Adepts.

Once upon a time, the Poison Knights were simple mercenary cavalrymen who offered their services to whoever paid the most. And then, one day, during one of their raids, a battle that they usually saw as an opportunity to profit turned into a real bloodbath for them, and they themselves became victims for the first time. Many of them remained on that battlefield, and the morale of the survivors seemed hopelessly shattered. However, one of their leaders realized that they had been victims of poison, and then he created his Poison Clan, deciding to turn all the insidious power of poison to his advantage.

(That's how I see it, but all the nuances need to be worked out, of course)...
