You can use either set of wings. If you have problems with the models from the sixth game, at least there's an upgrade for the Faceless One in the seventh game; it's included as a first-aid kit.

I decided to work on the Faceless Ones. I'm gathering information; it turns out they don't have to be as scrawny as in the sixth game, but they can also be buff. I also found out that the spikes on their backs are metal feathers attached to an iron plate. I'm now working on a new torso, and then I'll move on to the arms.
