Arriving in Covellia on a mission from his Theosian mentors, Naramesh-Meltaret met with the commander of the Illunar Legion of the Enlightened (Elulu-Suen, who have their own interpretation of this teaching) and told him his story:Fragment
- I must admit, I'm not just asking this out of curiosity. I am a Naramesh from the domain of Suentan. Or, at least, I was in Theos until I was sent to Covellia. I don't know why, I wasn't given any specific instructions. I was told to figure it out on the spot. Although, maybe they just decided to get rid of us. I had a friend with me, who... doubted. He was killed by Kalevrite bandits shortly after we left Theos, and we were tracked down by the magical aura of the rings with the emblem of Elulu-Suen, which we were awarded shortly before that. Meltaret paused, getting to the main point. - I came to you to clarify the situation. Were my mentors betraying me, or is it true that someone in the south wanted me to be here, and if so, why? Are the Enlightened somehow connected to this?
After that, Darius tried to kill him. In self-defense, Meltaret struck him before he could carry out his plan and fled from the guards chasing him. Darius mobilized the entire city guard to search for him, and my character is now looking for a hiding place.
