Help with Vista.

I don't know Vista very well yet, but I can say the following. This is exactly a case where security looms over you and starts to get annoying. I use the firewall (it seems quite powerful here). But if you are obsessed with security, I recommend installing an antivirus (Kaspersky, for example) and you won't have any problems. But there's more. My friends (certainly not noobs; one of them took second place in the All-Russian Olympiad in Informatics) and I rated Vista quite poorly as an OS. One of the most disliked aspects was the request for permission to perform absolutely any action. The glitches I found are described above. Also, everyone criticized Vista for lower performance in games compared to XP. However, they missed one detail. For those who will be playing under Vista, I recommend trying to set "Maximum Performance" in the power settings (it says there that it will double compared to the standard mode). As for me, I'm using Vista only because Cinema 4d works more productively here (at least it seems so to me, but I will compare it with XP soon).
