Why should the CURRENT rating of ALL players be reset to ZERO at the beginning of the year??? It's as if everyone is born anew.

That is, every year there will be a Van Kanneghem Tournament and others.
At the end of the year, there will be the Best of the Best tournament, TOP10, and also at the end of the year, the results are summed up based on the ladder. Therefore, at the end of the year, it is possible to sum up the results based on the rating as well. Everything is logical.
And with the new year, both Новичок and veterans are in equal conditions regarding gaining rating points.

I promised not to age the rating during the Kanneghem tournament, but not specifically because of the Kanneghem tournament. And since at least 5 or more additional tournaments will take place during this time, I think it is acceptable to adjust the rating by 50% according to my system. This was allowed in my system.

So, it turns out that each year, for 10 months, your rating won't be aged... but then it will be halved... and the remaining 2 months, it will be aged (by the way, have you decided what the default aging rate will be?)... and how can this be called? In my opinion, only one word fits - CHAOS!
