At first, I took the initiative and got a bit ahead in terms of castle power. But a week after I started expanding into the opponent's territory, he regained the lead. When he left, he managed to grab some valuable resources, destroy my hero with a powerful unit, and escape through a town portal.
After a couple of days, while I was exploring the empty territory, he was already exploiting my lands, and I regained the lead in terms of power and stats.
But then, the time limit became a major issue. As a result, I made a couple of pointless moves, wasting my second hero on a split (he defeated the enemy, but didn't have enough time to buy out the split completely before the turn ended), and the opponent evened the score. Then there was this interesting day where I could have attacked the opponent, but due to the time constraint, I couldn't replenish my mana. So, without mana, I decided not to attack and let him go. And it seemed like the opponent had taken the initiative when he captured my second castle, but I killed his hero there the very next day (again, due to lack of time or mana). In the end, I thought I had it in the bag because my stats were better, plus I had an army of 98 Cyclops. But I made another big mistake, starting to build up my hero in the castle, while my second hero with artifacts and an army was inside. It was easy for him to kill my two heroes one by one.
Thanks for the game, this will be a valuable lesson for me!
