Hey guys!
For those who have figured out the game, please clarify the following:
1. What does the governor give in a city? I assigned different heroes to different cities, and they were supposed to increase the growth rate, but I didn't notice any effect.
2. What does looting a mine give? Also, regarding mines: I understand that control over the resource spawn is achieved by owning a fort or city, and all mines in the area then come under your control. But is it possible to steal a mine on an enemy's territory without taking the fort?
3. Is there a random map generator? Where can I download maps?
4. Does the speed of creatures in the army affect the number of movement points of the hero? In the third game, slow creatures in the army noticeably slow down the hero, while fast ones speed him up.
5. Regarding city defense, I understand that the fortification level no longer affects the growth of creatures? And what units are added to the garrison when walls are built? How can I tell how many there will be if I am attacked?
6. The "Portal to City" spell. I understand that: you enter a city where a portal has been built, learn the portal spell, and then it will only teleport you to that city. If you enter another city where there is a portal, you will now only be able to teleport to that city. Is there a city portal that allows you to choose a city from a list?
7. How can I speed up the gameplay? What I didn't like in the 5th game was that it took too long. First, you spend a long time moving, and then another minute or two waiting for the AI to take its turn. The same is true in the 7th game. I turned the speeds up to the maximum in the settings, but it still takes up to 10 minutes or more per turn sometimes:eek:, and then you have to watch a bunch of AI heroes running around the map. Is it possible to disable the display of the AI's turn?
8. Why are heroes so expensive?? 4000 gold!:smile52:
9. I played as the Barbarians, and I somehow leveled up a hero named Yog so that the units in the army now deal additional damage after the main attack. For example, a single Fury (or whatever it's called) flies in and attacks 12 Minotaurs, deals some insignificant damage, and then this additional damage comes in and takes out 6 Minotaurs!! They don't retaliate against it, and it flies back to its place. What is this ability?? There are no fancy artifacts.
10. I played on the default difficulty level, and the AI is just too easy, both the neutrals and the other players. Do the neutrals always line up in one stack and run to attack head-on? How difficult are the campaigns?
11. Are there convenient hotkeys for controlling the army, like in SoD with HDmod, so that you can quickly create single units and combine squads?
I will be very grateful to everyone who answers:smile26:
In general, I really liked the game, and I will continue to play it! (while still enjoying the classics, of course=) ) Most of the innovations were very pleasing, especially the battlefields and how the obstacles were arranged, the damage modifier, and just a lot of other things). I don't understand why the game was so heavily criticized on Steam; I immediately started enjoying it. It's great that they took so much from the classic games in the 7th installment.
1) It gives bonuses in the city's zone of influence to friendly heroes and to the hero himself!
2) The hero takes two days' worth of resource production from ANOTHER's mine and loses a turn in the process, so you need to be careful when enemy heroes are nearby!
3) There is a map editor, and it seems to already have a generator. If not, it should appear with the new patch (I haven't launched the map editor yet - I'm playing the campaigns).
4) No!
5) Fortification affects the growth of the guard, i.e., there will always be a garrison in an empty city, which will prevent the enemy from taking the city without losses!
6) No, the hero will be teleported to the nearest city within the city's sphere of influence!
7) No!
8) Well, the exchange rate of the euro and the US dollar have an impact! And seriously, it's a normal average price regardless of the number of heroes you already have!
9) I think this has something to do with flanking attacks, and it's not overpowered - it's a feature of the Orcs!
10) That's strange, they rarely line up in one stack; usually, there are 3-4 stacks of the same type!
11) I have no idea! You need to check the manual; it usually has information about this!
Yes, after playing on patch 1.7, I also started to enjoy it, but before that, I didn't, because I'm not a masochist!
The 7th installment turned out to be a new game, no matter how you look at it. The developers only took the best moments from the 6th game. Overall, I'm satisfied!
The only thing I don't like is the high hardware requirements. My laptop, on which the 5th and 6th games run smoothly, struggles with the 7th game! So, I have to play on my computer, which is not ideal!
