Well, Orcs are quite good, actually. An Orc Mage can either have a mana pool comparable to that of an Ishanadi (without suffering from their physical weakness), for example. Or be a record-breaker in terms of single-hit damage. The racial bonus to damage is also one of the few ways to increase damage from firearms. Orc paralysis, if it works when hitting an Orc, is a good alternative to parrying for mages or hybrids.
