Modding

In theory, it exists; it's part of the "Heroes of Might and Magic 5.5" mod.

I tried combining the HMM 5.5 mod with the base game. I copied the data folder from the mod and pasted it into the base game. Everything works until you enter the hero's tavern to buy something; after that, the game crashes. Is it possible to remove everything related to the tavern from the DATA folder (which comes with the mod)?

I decided to do this because this mod only works with maps specifically designed for it, and the patch that's supposed to adapt maps to this mod doesn't work (no matter how I try, it doesn't work).
