Hello everyone,
I have some questions regarding the event:
1. Is it realistic to take a couple of days to go to Finland? If so, please suggest where to go (Helsinki or elsewhere) and how long the trip will take (travel time) + the budget (travel, sightseeing, accommodation, food), and what documents are required (passport, visa, etc.).
2. The base is located more than 100 km from St. Petersburg. If I want to spend 2-3 days walking around, sightseeing, and having fun in St. Petersburg, should I commute to the base for the night, or rent accommodation in the city?
Can I count on the organizers to help with the above, i.e., mainly with information, but possibly with practical assistance as well?
Thank you in advance.
1. Helsinki, Turku, and perhaps something else.
By Allegro train to Helsinki, it takes 3 hours, and another 2 hours from there to Turku. You can also take a bus, which is cheaper but takes twice as long. You'll need a Schengen visa and euros.
2. If you have nothing else to do, you can commute back and forth, of course. But I would recommend staying with everyone else, and we will try to organize a cultural program and leisure activities. There will definitely be others who want to join. At the very least, you should set aside 1 day to see the main attractions, and even better, a week
