"only XL-3"

Spent 4k for the color and the Castle, and instead of getting blue, I got something closer to purple: 1 road leading to the Sword Altar. Didn't want to restart because of the Manticore hiding spot, so I took it on day 111, but then things just went downhill: 4 mini-chests in a row, and in the 5th, an artifact for knowledge... But at least I got 4 consumables, but I would have had to wait for the Town Hall to generate resources to buy anything. With a scout and 2 Manticores, I attacked 90 Gnolls, got wrecked, and surrendered. Thanks for your time.
