I would also add that crafting gems is just as useful as crafting armor. If you fill the slots with the best runes for regeneration, you become virtually immortal. However, I found stealth to be useless, as even with a zero skill level, I was able to successfully pickpocket people and complete stealth quests without much difficulty. I also didn't finish the game because it gets too repetitive.
