Player rating for tournaments across all installments of Heroes.
And for what reason, if I may ask, are you aging the rating by 50% right away? Just because your left foot felt like it?
Not exactly. I promised not to age the rating throughout the Canighem Tournaments, not specifically for the Canighem Tournaments. And since at least 5 tournaments, or even more, will take place during this time, including additional ones, I believe it is acceptable to age the rating by 50% according to my system. This was allowed in my system. It was stated that I would age the rating at my discretion, both in terms of timing and the percentage. Since the rating is aged by the same percentage for everyone, I don't see any problem or wrongdoing.Kyle;88011
This approach is unacceptable. There should be clear rules that must be followed... and less improvisation... By the way, how are the tournaments that take place during the ВК Tournament aged? Specifically, the "Second Skeleton Gathering Tournament"? Are they not aged? That's not right. They should be aged according to your method... only the ВК Tournament should not be aged!
You are misunderstanding the rating aging process. I explained everything above. And for me, zeroing out the rating at the beginning of the year is unacceptable. Firstly, why should a player's rating be reset if they have consistently played in all the tournaments throughout the year? Secondly, if a player is a newcomer who just joined the forum at the end of the year and played in one tournament, why should their rating be reset? In my system, no one will lose their achievements. And the Hall of Fame won't interfere with that; they will remain there as well. But the current rating will not be lost; it will only decrease by the aging percentage.Kyle;88011
But once a year, the rating is reset anyway... or rather, it is transferred to the Hall of Fame for year n. So, I don't see any problems here...
And I do see a problem :) Why should the CURRENT rating of ALL players be equal to ZERO at the beginning of the year? It's as if everyone is born anew :)Kyle;88011
Excellent! All that's left is to cancel the aging and add an average... :D i.e., we are on the right track... But we initially wanted to manage with just one number... but it seems that's not working out
Canceling the aging process would be extremely wrong. Adding an average in addition to aging will not make the system worse. But in this case, the average should be calculated based on the CURRENT rating :)

It's just that each rating has different tasks, and it's difficult to compare them.
I thought the rating had one task: to show the player's current strength at a given time, taking into account previous achievements. So that newcomers with 100 rating points from one tournament cannot immediately jump ahead of veterans who have played many tournaments on this resource.
