Tournaments and player rating.

The main problem is that the rating of some individual players does not reflect reality because they deliberately do not record their won games but confirm their lost games, thus artificially lowering their rating.

But who said that this is a problem? I deliberately dropped from 1700 to 1300. :)
The main problem is that the rating doesn't affect anything at the moment; it's just a number for the sake of having one. If it did affect something, maybe people would think about maintaining it.
