Worshipper – “Agral’s Decision” [Campaign 2, Mission 5]

I can't seem to complete this mission, no matter how many times I try. No one joins me; only the Cave Lords join, while the dogs and demons run away in fear. I reached the bridge with the dragons, but I can't defeat them because my army isn't very large. And how did some people manage to recruit an army using summons, if there's no Castle here?! It doesn't work for me. I haven't even encountered a Phantom, and I don't even know what it is. In general, can someone give me some advice on how to progress in this mission?

Which version of the game are you playing? In versions 1.3-1.41, all demonic units join Agrael, except for those that appear in specific weeks. In my first playthrough (1.3), Furies joined me early in the mission, and in my second playthrough (1.41), Assassins joined. Also, there are two dwellings where you can recruit troops. If I'm not mistaken, you can recruit Succubi, Cave Demons, and Coursers or Dogs (I'm not sure). Starting from version 1.4, they accumulate there. There's a fort where you can upgrade them. That's why I took all the chests with gold.

The "Summon Phantom" spell must be chosen as a bonus in the second mission. It remains for all subsequent missions. This spell instantly creates a clone of the selected unit. However, this clone is weak – it dies with the slightest damage. But if you don't let the dragons get close to it, the phantom of a demoness works great. Just make sure there's space next to the unit being cloned for the clone.

In the previous mission, you can theoretically easily level up Agrael to any level. They won't let you go beyond level 30. There are a huge number of neutral creatures there. And if that's not enough (I don't know how weak Agrael has to be to not be enough), you can bring as many Druids as you want to the sacrificial pit from three Druid cities.

In general, in any mission, except for those where delay has consequences, you should try to get the most out of it to make it easier to complete the subsequent ones. First of all, you should try not to miss any stat-boosting opportunities. There is no limit to development on them.
