The fact that it could be completed within a year, or a couple of years after its release, and not after 10 years.

What if a 10-year-old game is worthwhile and you want to play it periodically (for example, I play through The Legend and Armored Princess an average of 4 times a year), but those that were released, say, 6 months ago are just bad? Then I'd rather play the "old" ones than the "new" ones...
