Special Relativity – this is something that might really need to be revisited soon.

So, Special Relativity prohibits traveling faster than light, while General Relativity, with its curvature of spacetime, is questionable.
In my opinion, all these theories of relativity describe the state of moving objects relative to an observer, which does not necessarily mean that what the observer sees is actually real (see the example with the blind man and the supersonic aircraft).
The ultimate speed of signal transmission only creates a time lag for the observer.
If we assume that an apparatus covers a distance of 75 light-years in one second, then for an observer on Earth, it will not yet have reached its destination (the signal cannot keep up with the spacecraft), and the observer in the spacecraft will see (or rather, would see if he could observe from such a distance) Hitler and the beginning of World War II on Earth (the signal would have reached the location where the spacecraft is now in 75 years). So, "seeing ancient Moscow" is quite possible.:D
