My opponent banned the templates I knew, so I had to play on a template unfamiliar to me. The template itself left a negative impression because you can't quickly capture the main town, and the template's layout isn't for beginners in my opinion, but the game itself turned out interesting, albeit uneven. The game itself is apparently a contender for the longest game of the tournament :smile26:

In general, my opponent didn't build up his town, but started collecting Dragon Fly Hives. From the very beginning of the game, he had an advantage in army size. I, on the other hand, didn't expect to see a bunch of Dragon Fly Hives and started building up my Native and Elf towns. In the end, Shakti ran around with the native troops, and Sephinorof with the Elf troops. I built the Guild completely, but at first I couldn't get Slow in either of my towns, and then Town Portal didn't show up — this negated my entire game strategy. However, I did get Berserk and Flight appeared at level 5 — this gave me hope. But after the first battle, my opponent found the Sphere of Inhibition, and then collected more Dragon Utopias than I did (I got a completely useless Dragon Utopia) and in the end also collected an additional Undead.

He also had Dimensional Door and Flight (taken from my town). Looking at the map, I saw that he often cut across the map through obstacles and seemed to jump several times per turn (like when using Dimensional Door) over long distances across the map, and I suspected a possible rules violation, but my opponent said he plays fair. So it's possible the game itself displayed his movement during Flight as a slideshow, similar to Dimensional Door. And according to him, the duration of his movement was due to the Stables, Expert Logistics, Logistics specialty, Gloves, and Boots — so it's quite possible.

I dragged the game into the late game and started swapping towns in a circle with my opponent, thanks to me sending in Sephinorof, Shakti, and Aeris from three flanks. They ran around in different parts of the map. For a while, these maneuvers worked, but my army gradually dwindled, and my opponent wasn't wasting time either. After a bunch of battles and my retreats and buybacks, my opponent finally pushed me to the end. I played the late game for the first time, so I got a ton of experience. Thanks for the game!
