I don't understand why you have such a strong dislike for rear-wheel drive cars.

Generally, a front-wheel drive car and a rear-wheel drive car with a classic layout, both at the same technological level, will be approximately equivalent in terms of handling and active safety. However, rear-wheel drive requires more caution and better driving skills from the driver in icy or wet conditions, while front-wheel drive models are generally considered trouble-free for the driver in these conditions.
