Heroes and The Hobbit are not comparable. It’s better to compare The Lord of the Rings and Heroes. Kriganes (even if weakened) are not absent in Heroes. There are also many fairytale elements in Might and Magic, but science fiction becomes more prominent towards the end of the games. Although, the comparison that Heroes is like The Lord of the Rings, and Might and Magic is like The Silmarillion is generally correct. I just disagree with the statement that "Forge contradicts the world of Heroes." The atmosphere of the series itself, however, is a different matter.
