In reality, it only seems like they cannot be visited. To the left of the cavalry external dwelling there was a guard - dendroids; they were guarding this whole cluster of objects. You can reach the external dwelling if you collect the ore diagonally bottom-left from its entrance. And from the external dwelling, you can then collect the rest.
