“Two Seasons: Winter-Spring 2016” Tournament. Online games for rating (reports, discussions).
The beginning seems relatively good; Tazar and Kreg, plus a maxed-out Crypt and a building that provides +2 to attack and defense. I decide to check out the second day; my opponent is already playing without restarts. On the second day, I reveal a Minor Workshop and manage to get 9 Wood in my army, along with 15 Grand Griffins; I decide to continue playing. On the third day, I discover a Lizardmen blockade on the road and a Minor Dwarven Mine; things are getting worse. On the fourth day, I take the Minor Workshop and encounter a blockade of 100+ Pikemen for a small amount of Wood and artillery, plus 500 gold per day, and there's another blockade of Pirates nearby. I have 9 Crystals, but without Pegasi, I can't effectively fight the Pirates (I spend a day defending the Crystals on the snow). The portal behind the Pirates leads to a village (apparently the central one), but there's a blockade of 20-49 Scorpions on the road, guarding a level 4 Shrine and an Orb of Air. And further on, on the way to the computer's castle, there's another blockade of 9 Sharpshooters. There's nothing else to do, so I attack the Sharpshooters and lose 10 out of my 15 Elves. I feel like giving up and dismissing this nonsense, but on the 117th turn, I manage to capture the computer's castle, which has an income of 2000 and a Wyvern building already constructed. I build a Citadel there and continue playing through the Swamp Castle. It's not until the 135th turn that I manage to break through the Scorpions. My army consists of 93 Lizardmen (there was a quest for 45), 5 Angels, 15 Wyverns, and 6 Giants. I get stuck on a portal underground, and my opponent, not seeing me, attacks only with Angels. He doesn't have enough money to buy me out, nor does he have mass magic. In the end, I trade his 9 Angels for 1 of mine. I make a mistake at the end of the battle; I could have killed the enemy hero, but his morale is low anyway, and he surrenders.
