No, it's just easier for Palych to level up trading and trophies.

Trading is skill #1 for immediate leveling. But not to buy everything you need, but for something else... x) I level it up to the maximum right after the first visit to the islands (if I haven't already done so in Darion), regardless of the hero's class. Trophies are just... a nice bonus and nothing more... There are more important skills.
