RTF is a global modification that replaces all towns in the game.

Then it's a bit strange, since there are Shimmers and Light Elementals in Heroes 6. Apparently, there is still some difference.

Maybe the Shimmers are summoned by priests and obey them, while the Light Elementals appear on their own and are uncontrollable.
