When you create a combination from parts of a borrowed model, you'll have to do a lot of work! That is, you can't divide the donor in one go, because the elements need to be without gaps. So, there are two ways: 1) capture extra vertices and then compress them, or 2) add new vertices in your favorite 3D editor! Personally, I use both options, because sometimes the first option is more optimal for one model, and the second option is not suitable, and vice versa!
