Playing a best-of-three match in the grand final with a score of 1-0 will only shorten the time. Let the loser try to prove that their defeat was a fluke.

The issue isn't about randomness or non-randomness. I'm thinking about something else, and I might be wrong; I'm not claiming to be right.

This could be supported with statistics from super finals.

I was also thinking about that, but I don't have much time right now to go through the threads. But off the top of my head, there should be a significant bias towards the upper bracket.
