I was recently thinking about the issue of playing in the grand final, and I came to the conclusion that the winner should not have any advantages. I believe that the player who came through the losers' bracket has atoned for their previous losses, at least by winning one extra match. And if they went through several stages of the lower bracket, they have played a noticeably larger number of games.
