Heaven or Hell?

I recently launched my comic, and I'm pleasantly surprised that the few readers I have have received it quite well, and some are even a little interested. I always enjoy it when people like my maps, scenarios, festivals, and just the themes I create; it's incredibly rewarding when the content you produce resonates with others. Although, I think Revnju is familiar with this feeling.

However, criticism can completely kill your motivation. I've encountered critics who didn't really think about anything, just showed off and made me cry and want to quit drawing forever, hide in a corner, and cry about how worthless I am. One person even messaged me privately until recently, telling me what a terrible comic I have, how terrible I am, and generally how awful it is to be me. Constructive advice is needed, but you'll also encounter all sorts of inadequate people who can discourage you with their negativity, and you won't always have the willpower to respond to them appropriately.
