The start wasn't bad; I got 6 elves from the hero in the tavern, and stables next to the road. The map was a bit poor in gold, though. Still, I managed the first week, captured my elf dwelling, and built a citadel with unicorns. Early in the second week, I decided to clear my area (2 dwarven treasures, a heavily guarded unicorn dwelling, 2 castles, and a couple of power-ups). At level 124, I took 5x20 castles and then maxed out castles with decent losses (only centaurs, dendroids, dwarves, and 1 unicorn). I went to the center afterward because I hadn't seen a treasure entrance yet and didn't want to wander in the desert blindly. At level 131, I got experience from earth on Grindan and checked with "view earth" to see where the treasure was, then went right there with my main hero. The first artifact there was wings, then a library, a couple of hives, and 2 topes. The second tope gave me a level 5 hat. I built a level 4 magic guild in the tower but got no teleportation, and the third tope in my respawn also didn't give anything useful. Meanwhile, I saw that my opponent had both Dragon Dreams and Teleportation, and I didn't see any other good areas to go to, so I decided to rush his town, hoping he was unprepared. He was right there in town, so I had no choice but to attack.

The battle looked really hopeless, mostly because of my low mana (2 Dragon Dreams used previously). In the first round, after a mass wait, I shot wyverns with elves. He cast Meteor on me, and I cast Implosion on his Archangels. He came forward with his wyverns, and I managed to kill them with all I had in 2 rounds, while getting Chain Lightning and Meteor in my face. Later, he cast antimagic on nagas but didn't come out with them, so I kept shooting them down. When there were only 10 left, I used single haste on wyverns and hit the nagas. The opponent kept resurrecting Archangels, and I used magic arrows on them (resu brought back 2 Archangels, and the arrow killed 1). In the end of the battle, we both ran out of mana. I had 40 wyverns and 8 unicorns left, versus 5 Archangels and 44 golems. Thanks to +2 speed, he couldn't force a draw and make me retreat, so I won with 20 wyverns and 5 unicorns remaining.
Interesting game, against full control. If I had wasted another day, I would have absolutely lost the game. This rush was my only chance, and it worked.
