5. There's a new feature in the map editor that I don't quite understand at first glance (some kind of tile sets)

Ah... It's clear that you're not interested in the map editor. Previously, the map editor only allowed creating maps with one type of terrain (one for each level), but now there are many (as it should be).
P.S. Can you post a screenshot of the Ifrit? Although... I'll find it myself.
