I'm sure that good photos of HeroesWorld members, with good quality and good lighting, would have scored no less than the photos they submitted to the contest.

Even the bad ones wouldn't have gotten particularly low scores there. However, this would not depend primarily on the users' actual physical appearance. Many, out of politeness, would not give a score lower than 5 or 6.
