:smile14:
So, I bred Val with unupgraded Archers, but there are 25 of them, there's a Ballista, Octavia, and Rizza. Along the way, Lene broke through 50+ Halflings with a Pre-Er, and there stood 40+ Gogs for a scroll and Lizards. I didn't want to sacrifice the Archers, so I spent the entire first week farming the respawn along the chains. I captured an external dwelling of Horses, upgraded them at Stables, and built them in my Citadel. At the start of week 2, Lene takes a Dwarf Cottage with 20, and Valeska breaks through the Archers and travels from the respawn along a very long road. I only left the respawn on Day 123, but the scroll behind the Gogs turned out to be a Town Portal scroll :smile54: and the plan became clear as day: to quickly build up some village, while Lene, with two Horses and Earth Magic, moves off-road to explore another passage through the Lift. On Day 124 - captured a Rampart village and took out the green Barbarian player.
Day 125 - through a bugged passage, I see that the green guy is no simple lad and didn't hesitate to beat up the ORANGE player, who coincidentally turned out to be Castle as well :smile54:
From the Barbarian to the Castle via the bugged passage is about 2500 movement points, so Val only reached it on Day 126, and the Rampart already had Mage Guild 2.
I was preparing for an easy time, built a Town Hall at the Barbarian's, and at the Castle it was also there. I planned to leisurely build Mage Guild 4 and teleport on Archangels by mid-week 3, but no, not happening, dammit!!!
From the Lift in the Barbarian steppes, right next to a huge palm tree, Kyrre herself came running-flying in and shamelessly took my Barbarian with a hefty army of 40+ Grands, 18 Wyverns, 6 Horses, and 8 Angels, and this against my 30+ Marksmen and 10 Horses scattered all over the map! :smile40:
All plans go to hell, and only a miracle can save me. I also split my army cunningly: 6 Horses for Val and the Archers with 2 Horses and Pikemen on a decoy near the Barbarian, which the opponent didn't bother to cut off. So under war conditions, a plan for the evacuation of the remaining army begins, building the coveted Guild, and reducing Kyrre's speed!
In short, I had to put aside an interesting TV show and seriously get down to calculations. The idea was that from the Barbarian to the Rampart, Kyrre needs 2500 movement points, to the Castle player also 2500. If she captured either of these towns on this turn, I would lose... I disrupted her momentum and placed a decoy on the road near the Castle, hoping he could manage it and she wouldn't have enough movement for one turn, because near the Castle there's a fat Griffin Conservatory, which I dared not take.
Lene, meanwhile, reached some village in the wilderness and was at the starting line with Expert Earth Magic
Kyrre could see a piece of the Castle from her scouting range, but for some reason didn't go for it, and instead moved like Napoleon into a portal to my capital (to which, at full speed, it's 6000+ movement :D ). Thank the gods, hope appeared, so on Day 131 I finish Mage Guild 4 - there's, of course, some junk like Counterstrike and Fire Shield. I split Lene - he takes the third Conservatory, then I jump to the Rampart - there the decoys take the Conservatory. Well, in short, while Kyrre was running back and forth, giving up on going to my capital, I slowly pulled myself together and gathered an army for defense. Mage Guild 5 gave Fissure, I planned to rebuild Mage Guild 4 to get some combat spell and slap the insolent elf, but disappointment awaited me... We play without rebuilding the Mage Guild, CARL :smile31:
On Day 134, I finally had to give up the Rampart village, luckily there was nothing useful in it anymore, and I had taken everything around it in the form of a Conservatory, Dragon Fly Hive, and Cyclops pit. I Town Portal to a village underground, and from there I ride to the treasure zone. At the end of the week, I had to move the army from there to defend the Castle player. Kyrre saw that there was a decent force there. In the end, Lene slowly, on Days 141-142, takes 3 Dragon Utopias in the treasure zone. All minor artifacts (((((( gave All6, All2, GB, Bracers, and Kostya Lizard's favorite Orb :smile54:
I can already imagine Lene, without Dimension Door, running on Archangels across the whole map and suggesting we pray... hmm, not a cheerful prospect...
But on Day 143, after 3 scrolls with junk on easy game, I get a Dimension Door scroll in the treasure zone, and from there, through papal views, I see a cluster of red shields is not far away in another treasure zone. Jump-jump and Lene catches up with Nelka and his army. There are 36 Ducks, 50+ Grands, and 18 Horses. All this was taken without losses, then I upgraded Archangels, jumped around the map, and it's the opponent's turn :smile15:
Thanks for the game!
