How did I not see this thread before? I, too, am a big fan of spending 8-12 hours fishing from an inflatable boat! What a thrill it is to sit quietly and observe, waiting for the moment! And lo and behold! The heavens have heard me! The float begins to slowly drift to the side, tilting gently at a 45-degree angle, and no more. And then in the other direction... And then BAM! It's caught! "Pull, Antonha, pull!" you shout to yourself! And then a slippery body appears on the surface... You get a little nervous because this carp is bigger than you expected! But you can't make sudden movements or jerk it out of the water! It should feel like it's voluntarily surfaced and is swimming into your hands... Now it's near the boat. You carefully take the landing net and slip it under... There, the carp is yours! You happily take it in your hands, start to remove the hook, which it might have swallowed all the way down, and then, holding your trophy with both hands, you release it back into the wild, into the keepnet:p... Yes, there are many such moments in fishing, and nothing else allows you to relax and sit with your thoughts as much as fishing does... I'm also sending a photo of the carp I just wrote about.
