I'll admit right away that I completely slept through this contest (last night, when I wanted to send the song, coincided with HeroesWorld going down), so you won't hear any compositions from me here.
Bound by Flame - OST - LIFE - 5. Decent music, pleasant, not annoying, but somewhat unremarkable, didn't make me want to listen again.
Rainbow - Gates Of Babylon - 9. Yes, the time when I was a die-hard fan of "heavypowermetal" has passed, but this is DIO, it's impossible to give him a low score. The rating is mainly because of his vocals, Blackmore's guitar here didn't impress me that much, even though I used to consider him my favorite guitarist.
Divinity 2: Ego Draconis - Slavic - 6. Similar to the first track: I can't say anything bad, but it just doesn't grab me. It somehow brought associations with my favorite band Piknik, which is probably why the score is a bit higher.
Mike Oldfield - [Nuclear] [HD] - 9. Pretty cool, though. Powerful, emotional, and even the guitar solo surprisingly pleased me more than Blackmore's.
Roxette - Listen to your heart - 6. I agree, the original is much better. I'd probably give it an eight.
Llewellyn & Juliana - Earth Angel - 5. Another song in the "nice, but kind of boring and doesn't grab me" category.
Markscheider Kunst - Деньги - 3. Well, you can listen to it once and have a laugh, I guess. But nothing more.
System(x)failure - Красавица - 4. Nah, well, in my twisted opinion, it's definitely not "disgusting." There are some amusing moments. If not for the cringey ending, maybe I'd have given it more)
James - Moving On - 7. I won't say I really liked the song, but the video won me over, I added a point for that.
Army Of Lovers - Crucified - 4. The chorus kind of saves it, the rest, including the video, is clearly not my taste.
THE ANIMALS — House Of The Rising Sun - 8. Yes, I love this song. But I fell in love with it when I heard Johnny Cash's version, and I've always been more lukewarm toward the Animals' version. Old Johnny would probably have gotten a ten from me for this song. And yes, Ar, this is NOT the original) Nina Simone sang it first, the Animals and others covered it.
Garmarna - Vänner och fränder - 10. An excellent medieval melody that I knew before, but I'm used to hearing it in a heavier rendition by In Extremo. I'll say I actually liked this version even more. Atmospheric, appropriately dark — just the way I like it.
Diggy Diggy Hole - 8. Oh, I remember how not long ago my friends and I were absolutely cracking up over this song) I'm not giving it a higher score only because this melody isn't one of those that "live" in my playlist, but rather in the "watch/sing/laugh to lift your spirits" category. Besides, without the video, I think it wouldn't be nearly as amusing. By the way, I'm probably a noob and a lolcow, but what game is the video from? I thought it wasn't tied to anything specific.
PHARAOH - В Зоне - 2. I don't like rap, what can you do. For rap to even slightly grab me, it needs to have either amazing poetic and meaningful lyrics or an interesting backing track. Here, there's neither. But I've heard worse, so it's not a one.
Beautiful Flower Girl - 7. A fun and upbeat song, but apparently, Asian music just isn't my thing. I've tried several times to get into j-rock/j-pop, only to give up each time. I'll go back to enjoying my stoner music)
