In Heroes, almost everyone plays the same way; some just win more, others less. Such offers are accepted on equal terms; otherwise, what's the point of playing against a stronger opponent and giving them money?

Equal players compete in regular tournaments for the title. If a weaker player offers a match to a stronger player, it's perfectly logical that the stronger player is motivated by money (the weaker player is already motivated).

I don't remember Lennox Lewis ever playing casual matches with anyone for free. :)
