I was just one move short of attacking Kirre in a field with shackles; then, victory would have been mine.
The main mistake was wasting an extra move on capturing a hive, which ultimately didn't matter. As a result, I fell one step short of reaching Kirre.

And there, a level 5 hat, mana replenishment to 100 for the next turn, an attack, Implodes on the ducks, and that's it.

It's frustrating to lose like that, but I'll somehow get over it :D

I confirm. My treasures sucked; there was only one hive to take (another one was behind a horde of Medusas, a pack of Ghost Dragons, and one very far away). So, I took hive 121 with a scout, took the blue hat with Kirre on the same turn, visited the library, got mana, and then saw with the scout an air book in the opponent's treasure. It was a very tough call, but I decided to go and steal it. As it turned out, I was very lucky since the opponent had shackles, and I had no mana for even one Implode on Kirre. There was also a +5 all sword close to the air book. In the end, I Imploded the Wyvern power stack to death.

Lucky win, but it's hard to assess whether going for this air book was the right decision. Only the shackles were a disaster for me, and the opponent had it. On the other hand, with the air book on Gurni, he would have won easily, I think, since my treasures sucked a lot (apart from the blue hat).
