No, it's luck. The stat sum of a ranged attacker's kill on the first night is always less than zero, and therefore, their contribution is obviously negative (they are harming the team with this action). However, this doesn't take into account subtleties, such as shooting at inactive players, which in the long run can "stir up" the town and increase the chances of winning, and so on. But without all these considerations, the stat sum is still negative. If a ranged attacker guesses and kills the mafia, it's not their merit, but rather random chance, which, despite the player's demonstrably incorrect action, led to a positive result.
I know 3 types of football commentators. Some believe that if a striker shoots at the goalkeeper, he was just unlucky (and therefore the goalkeeper was lucky), others believe that the striker is a "noob and lol" for shooting poorly, and the third believe that it's the goalkeeper's merit for choosing the right position. ;) I may not be a football commentator, but I belong to the third category. Randomness is randomness, but the player makes a decision: to attack someone or better stay at home. If they hit the mafia, good job; if they eliminate an important town role, they're a "noob and lol."Arandor
You probably don't understand what luck is in this case. And you would definitely consider such a scenario as your own merit.
I don't misunderstand; it's just that my understanding differs from yours. And why specifically "your own merit"? This applies to any ranged attacker. As well as any other role. ;)
