Isn't it easy to check my profile? Even if having a female avatar isn't enough to determine my gender, my gender is clearly stated there. The phrase "I didn't understand" was used idiomatically, similar to "I got it, I'm not stupid," which also doesn't change depending on the speaker's gender.
