I'm no longer sure about anything regarding Arandor and the descriptions. But if he isn't the Guardian, then who the hell is he?

Judging by the description, Alex was a city unit. Yesterday, the city had this lineup: Forest Spirit, Guardian, Naiad, Snow Fairy, Elf.
The Spirit and Naiad are alive. The Fairy died, but it's obvious anyway. That leaves the Elf and the Guardian. Honestly, based on the description, it seems more like the Guardian than the Elf.
And even though the Elf isn't present today, it's unclear whether it's the Elf or, for example, a Dark unit that triggered a natural defense.
