Well, it's the same as always. I also felt that, in addition to all the other shortcomings compared to Diablo 2 (such as the lack of replayability), the items themselves are somewhat bland. Maybe it's just something nostalgic and subjective, but in Diablo 2, many things, and even rune recipes, stuck in your head simply because they were well-thought-out in terms of both design and gameplay.
