This approach has a problem: we will be regularly traveling between different worlds, considering the concept. And there will be half a dozen people, not just a couple. Also, the specific method of travel needs to be thought out and how it works. How do the characters connect with their superiors, if they can at all? And finally, the reasons for going to a specific world. If traveling is something new and energy-consuming, then it is expected that our heroes will spend a lot of time in the world assigned to them by their superiors, rather than wandering around for a couple of months and then going to a new world.
