Imagine, I'm a spirit. According to the rules, I can't be executed. By revealing myself, I either lose the ability to use my ultimate ability or lose my protection. And the next day, the city might have fewer votes than the negative characters. What's the benefit of executing a spirit? None. So, the negative characters will doubt: should they go after Gur or Koshu, who is actively revealing herself as a spirit? But this way, the negative characters will have a clear idea of where to strike. Plus, the protector will go after the spirit, thus exposing another important target. It's confusing, I know, but be sure.
