We didn't bother wasting time, we decided to just roll with our favorite towns. The start was quite pleasant. Managed to scrape together enough for efreets, Mary, even if after some luck — she got Logistics and Earth, killed the native Castle computer. And the best part, an exit into one of the centers through a one-way monolith, which doesn't promise early contacts.
So I lived without worries until week 1, day 27. Took a village in the 2nd center, killed another Tower computer, scouted a couple of Dragon Utopias, found some stats and Boots of Speed. Meanwhile, I gathered 50 demons.
And then the sneaky Solmyr popped out with a couple of Angels, a stack of 20+ Mages, and native growth. He popped out and blocked the reinforcement route through a portal when I was already standing at the 1st Dragon Utopia. I was certainly really upset. But there was nothing to be done, I had to surrender all my towns and head to the corner treasure zone from the Tower computer, since without the reinforcement route to the Dragon Utopia I wasn't ready.
While my heart was breaking from the pain of losing towns with growth for about 60 demons, Mary found a Griffin Conservatory in the treasure zone for 3 Angels, a village, a prison, a Dragon Fly Hive for 8, she trimmed some demons from the miscellaneous troops (luckily I had a +HP ring) and bumped into a Dragon Utopia. I check — third-level. I take the Golems from the Tower prepared beforehand, clear the ducks and get KZ, +10 Attack, +10 Knowledge. I would call it a "Lord of Earth Utopia." By this time I had only 1 village left in the same treasure zone. Well, I refilled mana, gathered another Mana Well, and rushed to comeback. Using the same principle, blocking the portals to avoid maneuvers with split stacks.
Ivor decides to attack with Shackles of War. There are 2 Angels, 4 Nagas, 30+ Mages, 60+ Archers, 5 Basilisks, single Master Genies, 320 mana and +1 Speed. I have just 3 Angels, 50+ demons, and single imps. In terms of battle stats I'm significantly ahead, Spell Power is also higher. Basically, I killed him before the difference in mana amount made a difference.
