In the Necropolis campaign, I chose two schools of magic: Darkness and Summoning. The Phoenix helped in the battle against Godric, even though he destroyed the first two Phoenixes instantly (Markel's spellcasting skill was 38). I had significantly upgraded Godric (nominally level 20, but effectively level 30).
