Firstly, it's not a fact that he was killed by elves:) (I know, it's a weak excuse);
Secondly, the closer a society is to nature, the easier it is for them to accept such things. They usually don't bother with environmental protection because they don't cause much harm to it.
Of course, I haven't personally interacted with druids, unlike the highly respected Silvanis :smile41:, but I clearly remember how in Baldur's Gate, druids declared a full-scale war on anyone who harmed a representative of the fauna.
In any case, I think that even if the elves are not ashamed of the genocide of our horned brothers, then displaying, excuse me, a dead head in public is simply unethical (and, by the way, unaesthetic :smile21:).
