Player rating for tournaments across all installments of Heroes.
It's very simple.. I suggested (way back) and am suggesting now to maintain a cyclical rating.. like with the clans... i.e., once a year (for example: January 1), the current Player Rating of all players will be reset... and an entry will appear in the user profile: "Rating for the year 20XX = K, number of games played N, average rating for the year = M" Respectfully.
And so what??? Those who played once and took a hundred—what will they get for the year under your system? A hundred—did I guess right :) And they'll bypass all active participants who didn't take first place in even one of the Tournaments? Next year, people with a hundred and one played tournament will be found again. And the activists will once again be left out in the cold :) Not only that, but under your scheme, activists will have records in their profiles that are worse than players who successfully played just ONE tournament during that year. What do you say to that?
