Poll: Preferences when choosing skills in Heroes of Might and Magic IV.

I also prioritize leveling up Battle in the beginning, along with some kind of magic. The remaining skills can be improved at altars or in special buildings (I don't remember the exact name). At the beginning, Battle and one magic skill are usually enough. The second magic skill and Tactics are needed in the later stages of the game against larger armies to diversify tactics (sorry for the redundancy). I mainly level up Scouting for logistics purposes.
